11/14/2023 0 Comments Fireside cabins pagosa springs coOur policy does say there is a $35-$75 cleaning fee for excessive hair. We are pet friendly but unfortunately pets are unpredictable and can cause damage which our guest will be responsible for the cost. We work hard on keeping everything well maintained. All in all it’s beautiful and well kept but one night actually cost $296 because of my dogs. We even called them on Saturday night when some idiot had a campfire by the river during Level 2 Fire restrictions. Then $50 extra taken out of my account without so much as an email. Anyhow- we went to the office, trying to be proactive. (Theses places either give you the worst room or charge a ton of money if a Pet is involved. I felt sick because I was almost out of money and now my dog made it so I had to pay even more than the $20 a piece I already paid. We went to the office because the policy was and extra $35 charge. We tried to stop her from jumping up, and grabbed her. Our little dog did and left 7-8 prints on the blanket. However even though it says it’s dog friendly, it really will cost you if you dog sheds or walks in wet morning grass and leaves a paw print. We enjoy the simplicity of the ski area.Beautiful and well maintained. Still no place for non-skiers to really hang out. Same great snow, great wolf pup program, food is good. It would sure help us mommas who don’t ski or who have to hang back with little ones.Īll in all, we love this place and highly recommend it to young families. I wish there was a cabin or shed or structure with comfortable seating (like sofas), fireplaces, and a play area for little kids. 4 year olds can do half day only and under 4 will have to enroll in private lessons if they want to ski.Ĭons: my only complaint about Wolf Creek is that they do not have a place for non-skiers to relax and wait for their family members to finish skiing. You must be 5 to do the full day ski school. The lesson was well worth it, several instructors assist the beginners so your child gets a lot of one on one attention. He felt so comfortable that we skipped ski school on the second day and headed straight for the mountain. The instructors were fantastic, super patient and very helpful. He did a half day lesson (1pm to 3pm) and was taken up on the beginner lift by the end of the day. Ski school: My 5 year old son enrolled in the Wolf Pup ski school. You can get a beginner lift ticket for $25. Lift Tickets: The lift tickets are super cheap compared to other resorts. Weird Quirks: Kids must wear a helmet but they do not rent helmets for kids so you will need to buy one in their ski shop one rent one at a ski shop in Pagosa Springs. There is no accommodations for non skiers and no accommodations for kids under 4. There is one shed for rentals and one ski shop. They have two food shelters that serve cafeteria style. Huge parking lot with shuttle bus service if you end up having to park way down the road. The Ski Area: Wolf Creek is fantastic and very reasonably priced. You simply pull off to side of road and get out and have fun. Along the way is a great place to take your kids sledding. (2018)- This was our second trip to Wolf Creek.ĭrive up to Wolf Creek: There is no lodging at the ski area, we stayed in Pagosa and the drive is real quick.
